Spiritual Drumming
Experience drumming by becoming part of a sacred circle

Drums can be used for many things including entertainment, meditation, stress reduction, ceremonies, and calling in of the spirits. In the Spiritual Drumming Program we will focus on the use of our drums for chanting and meditation. Each gathering starts with the setting of our intentions for the energy that we create; we then move into using a chant with drumming to center us and create the energy of community. During the remainder of the program we will learn simple rhythms that can be used for personal meditation. For those of us who find it difficult to quiet our minds for meditation, drumming provides the perfect focus for a meditative experience.

Participants may bring any type of hand drum – i.e. djembes, bohrans, frame drums, Native American drums –or they may use one of the drums of rhythm instruments that will be available.
